Bar service and bar food to be available at the Brighton and Peacehaven Centres

28/08/20

Next week sees the resumption of masonic business within the Province and whilst Festive Boards are not currently possible due to the restrictions in place, a bar and bar food facility will be available at both the East Brighton Masonic Centre (EBMC) and the Brighton Centre.

Guidance from United Grand Lodge makes it clear that whilst a Lodge can make its members aware of local opportunities for refreshments before or after a meeting, it must not organise a meal or drinks for its members and that members who dine or drink at a venue where other members are present must follow the rules applicable to the venue including those about safe distancing.

However, you may book dining where it is available at a Masonic Hall or restaurant. You may only book for yourself, or for a group of Masons from up to two households (or six people if outdoors).

To assist you in your choices the available menu’s from both Brighton and the EBMC are shown. Your choice should be individually ordered at the bar immediately prior to the meeting.

Paul Margo from the the EBMC said “ We are turning the dining room into an extended bar seating area and will have at least 40 seats available for members, and so will welcome all to come and enjoy EBMC even if they can’t attend the actual meeting due to the lodge room restrictions.”

The bar area at the Brighton Centre will be open from 4pm to 9pm
