Falling Masonry!

Falling Masonry!

The 25th July 2017 was a significant day – not only was it the birthday of our Provincial Grand Master, Chris Moore, it was also the day he chose to leap from a perfectly serviceable aircraft to undertake a sponsored parachute jump to demonstrate his commitment to the renovation and repair of 25 Queens Road, Brighton, the headquarters of Sussex Freemasonry.

As he leapt from the aircraft our intrepid PGM was heard to utter sounds – we're not quite sure what they were – but they were definitely sounds.

Watch the video footage below.

25 Queens Road, now the headquarters of Sussex Masonry was built in the 1820s by Amon Wilds and the architect was Charles Augustus Busby. Various families occupied the house and in 1862 it was owned by the Kidd family of Brewers who lived there until 1897 when it was bequeathed to the Provincial Grand Lodge. All sponsorhip money will be used to kick start the drive to raise funds for much needed repairs.
